Kensington Senior Living (KSL) was founded in 2010 by a leadership team with over 25 years of experience developing and operating premier senior living residences in the U.S. and abroad. KSL is an assisted living owner-operator with six communities open and operating, and several future locations in Northern and Southern California, the Metropolitan D.C. Area, and Greater New York. The KSL promise ‘to love and care for your family as we do our own’ is core to the belief that no aspect of caregiving is more important than partnership with our residents and their families at every stage of aging.

Dave Faeder

An early pioneer in the assisted living industry, Dave brings nearly 30 years of experience and senior living leadership to the Kensington team. In his role as managing partner, he leads the overall strategy for KSL. He also oversees the execution of the financing, development and operations of all Kensington ventures. Prior to founding KSL, Dave organized, implemented, designed, and led the most successful senior living team in the country by serving in various industry roles, most notably as CFO, then President, and Vice Chairman of a top-tier senior living operator.

Dan Gorham

Responsible for developing and executing the financing strategy for all Kensington ventures, Dan has over 30 years of commercial real estate finance experience. As a founding partner at KSL, an unrivaled owner-operator in the assisted living space, his focus has been on development and providing KSL communities with the financial stability that allows both our properties and our residents to flourish.

Tiffany Tomasso

A New Jersey native, Tiffany brings more than 30 years of executive experience developing the communities and teams that best care for our seniors. As one of the founding partners of KSL, Tiffany works hands-on everyday to continue improving the lives of seniors by helping provide the kind of innovative care they and their families need. Tiffany was honored in 2003 by the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America and served on the Argentum Board (formerly ALFA) from 2005-2013. She also served as the Chairman of ALFA from 2008-2010.

Steve Lampa

Hospitality is the cornerstone of Steve’s professional experience, and one that carries over strongly into his current role directing the management and operations of all KSL communities. Prior to joining the KSL team in 2010, Steve served as a Senior Vice President of Operations for Marriott International, and was responsible for all rooms and related product and service development globally, as well as Marriott’s Lodging Quality Assurance system for North America. From 1995-2007, Steve served on Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award board of examiners, which provides recognition for performance excellence by organizations in business, non-profit, education, and healthcare sectors. Currently he serves as the Chair of the New York Argentum (formerly ALFA) Advisory Board.

Tanya Walker Wirth

Tanya Walker Wirth brings 20 years of boots-on-the-ground senior living leadership to KSL. Throughout her career, she has managed 10 assisted living communities, with a focus on sustaining operational efficiency and building relationships among residents, families, colleagues and specialty service providers. She champions the development of programs and spaces that bring KSL to the community and the community to KSL, such as Famille Cafe. Tanya holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from The Pennsylvania State University in Health Policy Administration and Gerontology and a certificate in Psychotherapy with Older Adults and the Study of Aging.

Harley Cook

Harley is a founding partner of Kensington Development and is responsible for the development of our properties in White Plains, NY, and Falls Church, VA. Harley has over 30 years of real estate development experience. Prior to the formation of Kensington Development, Harley served as Executive Vice President of Development for a top-tier senior living operator where he directed over $2.25 billion of real estate development in twenty major US cities and three foreign countries. Before that, Harley developed $1 billion of office parks and buildings for Cadillac Fairview including the 220-acre Fairview Park in Falls Church, VA; 375-acre Park West in Dallas, Texas; and 750,000 SF 1001 Pennsylvania Ave, in Washington, D.C. In addition, he developed retail and residential properties for various companies.

Billy Shields

Billy joined Kensington Development in 2010 and is responsible for all west coast developments. Billy has been in senior living real estate development for more than 30 years, 17 of which were with a top-tier senior living operator. He participated in the design of the prototype assisted living buildings and initial community roll-out in the mid-atlantic region. Later he initiated development of a west coast portfolio of 50 communities, including adaptation of the building design to fit within the context of the west coast markets. During this time Billy evaluated hundreds of alternative building products and systems in pursuit of what was widely considered the gold standard for building design in the senior living sector. From 2002 – 2009, as an Executive Vice President of a top-tier senior living operator, he was responsible for all development and construction in North America completing 90 communities ($2.25 billion total project cost). Billy has been involved with Kensington Development for all three communities in California, The Kensington Sierra MadreKensington Place Redwood City and The Kensington Redondo Beach.

Michael Rafeedie

Michael joined Kensington Development in 2016 to source and develop ventures along the East Coast. Prior to joining The Kensington Development team, he served in a variety of roles for Lincoln Property Company, including asset management and financial analysis, capital markets, and multifamily development. During his tenure at Lincoln, Michael helped lead the entitlement, design, financing, construction, and management of nearly $200 million of real estate development and facilitated nearly $100 million of asset disposition. Prior to joining Lincoln, Michael was a Senior Auditor at KPMG, LLP, specializing in real estate auditing and consulting. Michael was a licensed CPA in Virginia (inactive) and received his Masters of Science and Bachelor of Business Administration degrees in Accounting from James Madison University.
